A run’s page: the Trail, live follow and a clearer step record

26 Oct 2026 · Cloud · Self-hosted · Embed

A run’s page lists the steps that ran, follows a run while it goes, and says what each step did in words. It opens where the editor opens the workflow, with the Trail and the minimap closed. The output of Branch and Switch steps changes on the workers too. No migration.

What changed

  • Trail lists the steps that ran and where the run stopped. The top bar says how many steps ran, and Go to failure brings you back to the failed step. See Runs.
  • A step has no Result tab: a line under its name says what happened, then Output, Input and Settings, or Error first on a failure. See Find out why a run failed.
  • A Branch or Switch says which way it went and why. A Loop lets you pick an iteration. See Branch and loop.
  • A Branch’s and a Switch’s output has conditionResults, what each condition came to. See Branch and loop.
  • The canvas follows a running run. Follow run, or F, follows it again. See Keyboard shortcuts.

When you update

GoRunner’s image is private for now. With Docker, sign in to the registry first. On Kubernetes, sign Helm in and give the cluster its pull Secret. See Update for the whole procedure, or Install with Docker and Install on Kubernetes to install this version anew.

# Check the image first: its Digest must be sha256:63eb94905a6ba32681abf0d9a5d10cb110882679dadea4eb92deb980c7e401e7
docker buildx imagetools inspect ghcr.io/ralve-org/gorunner-selfhost:v2026.10.29

# Update
./deploy.sh v2026.10.29

Going back

To go back, run ./deploy.sh v2026.10.28. There is no migration, so no flag is needed.
