v2026.10.3
A free license, sign-in without email, and the preflight check
Self-hosted installations can start without a mail server, use their own stores, and check everything before each update.
What changed
- A free license, for 1 organization, 1 workspace and 3 people, from GoRunner on request. See The free license.
- Setup prints an 8-character setup code for the first admin. Without mail, people sign in with an email and a password.
gorunner reset-passwordworks from the server. See Sign-in without email. - Copy invitation link on every invitation, on Cloud too. See Invite people and set roles.
- Your own PostgreSQL, Redis and S3-compatible storage. See Your own database, Redis and storage.
- Several servers, with
GORUNNER_ROLEset toall, apiorworker. See Several servers. - A company proxy for outbound calls (
HTTPS_PROXY,HTTP_PROXY,NO_PROXY), andSMTP_SECUREfor mail on port 465. See A company proxy. - The preflight check runs before setup, before every update and when each container starts. See The preflight check.
When you update
- Coming from v2026.10.2 or older, the update writes where the installation keeps its data (
GORUNNER_POSTGRES,GORUNNER_REDIS,GORUNNER_STORAGE,GORUNNER_ROLE) and sizesDB_MAX_CONNS. People keep signing in as before. - Seats and workspaces count against the license from now on. An installation already over keeps what it has, but can’t add more until it is under.
- To move to the free license, remove the empty starter organization older versions made.
GoRunner’s image is private for now. With Docker, sign in to the registry first. On Kubernetes, sign Helm in and give the cluster its pull Secret. See Update for the whole procedure, or Install with Docker and Install on Kubernetes to install this version anew.
