# Delete a workspace

**DELETE** `/api/embed/v1/accounts/{accountId}/workspaces/{workspaceId}`

Deletes a workspace and everything in it, for good.

Needs a partner key: `Authorization: Bearer gre_…`, from [Platform › Partner keys](https://docs.gorunner.io/embed/platform-screens#partner-keys). Call it from your server only.

Embed · Self-hosted with an Embed license

> **Danger** There is no undo. Its workflows, runs and connections go, and sessions in it end (`workspace_deleted`).

## Parameters

### Path

- `accountId` · Required · string: Your ID for the customer’s account: 1 to 255 bytes of UTF-8, case-sensitive. URL-encode it: it may contain `/`.
- `workspaceId` · Required · string: Your ID for the workspace.

## Responses

- 204 No Content

  Deleted.

- 400 `VALIDATION_ERROR`

  The account or workspace ID isn’t allowed as written. `details.field` names it.

- 404 `NOT_FOUND`

  No such account, or no such workspace in it.

- 409 `ACCOUNT_DELETED`

  The account is deleted. Restore it first, within 30 days.

- 409 `DEFAULT_WORKSPACE`

  An account’s default workspace can’t be deleted.

- 409 `BUSY`

  Something else held what this call needs, and it gave up waiting. Nothing changed. Try again.

- 500 `INTERNAL_ERROR`

  Something failed on the installation’s side. Try again.
