## For developers

In the API, which calls apps pieces, QR Code is `pieceId: "qrcode"` with `actionId: "generate"`. [Get an app](https://docs.gorunner.io/api/apps/get-app) returns every field.

It computes from its inputs only (`pure`). See [How versions and side effects work](https://docs.gorunner.io/apps#q-versions).

### QR Code › Generate QR Code

Turn text or a URL into a QR code image.

- **Text / URL · Required**: The content to encode.
- **Size (px) · Optional**: Image width/height in pixels. Default: 256.
- **Error Correction · Optional**: How well the code still scans if dirty or partly covered; higher means more reliable but busier looking. Options: Low (7%), Medium (15%), Quartile (25%), High (30%). Default: Medium (15%).
- **Output Format · Optional**: Choose how the image is returned: ready to drop into an email or web page, or the plain encoded text. Options: Data URL (data:image/png;base64,…), Raw base64. Default: Data URL (data:image/png;base64,…).
